The Atelier Class

 

The Atelier class is more comprehensive and demanding than the 10-week introduction class. It will introduce higher responsibility, focus, and conscientiousness towards Art practice. We will cover theory, history, techniques and skills at college and sometimes university level.

Having said that, all our classes are light-hearted and fun. Each lesson is 2 hours long, with an expectation of 2 hours per week of self-study using a sketchbook to either paint or sketch respectively.

Block 1

This block will introduce students to Art movements, Oil paints and mediums, Alla Prima painting and development of sketching,

Block 2

By this time students will have completed over 36 class taught hours. Students will be introduced to classical master artist style painting techniques and preparation measures.

Students will be introduced to Reneisance aesthetics Colour theory, Fresco, and Sanguine

Students will start learning how to do transcription and have a richer understanding of critique and aesthetics.
